Week 8: Visual System

This week, I refined the user flow and created the Top-Level Architecture in more detail. By imagining myself as a user navigating the GalaxiLift website, I realized that I had missed many useful options. For example, I had overlooked several shopping details for the Online Gift Shop, so I added a shopping cart and wishlist feature. Now, users can save their favorite items or add them to their cart while browsing, and then proceed to checkout.

When creating the task flow, I added tasks at every point where the user needed to make a decision. For instance, upon entering the Gift Shop, users can choose to create an account, log in with an existing account, or continue as a guest. Creating an account would require users to fill in some simple personal information.

After completing the Task Flow, a rough outline of the website design started to form in my mind. Therefore, I believe that the processes of creating the user flow, Top-Level Architecture, and Task Flow were crucial for my website design.
